– Cap bell-shaped when young, later expanded with an umbo, radially fibrillose, white, reddening after handling.
– Gills emarginate to adnate, dirty white when young, sometimes with a pink tone, later grey-brown, often with an olive-yellow tone.

– Flesh white with a faint honey-like smell. With age the smell becomes stronger and more unpleasant, sweetish and unpleasant.

Ecology
Grows in deciduous forests and parks on calcareous soil in southern parts of the Nordic countries.
Notes
Contains the neurotoxic mushroom poison muscarine.
Similar species
Several similar species occur in the genus, but Inosperma erubescens is usually considerably larger and more robust than most other fibrecaps, with a cap diameter that can reach nearly 8 cm.
