Ecology
Grows with pine, often along sandy forest roads in coniferous forest and on pine heaths.
Notes
Edible and good. Should be collected in dry weather when it is not slimy. Take only small and firm specimens and peel off the cap cuticle before preparation. Remove the tubes if they feel soft.
